Alan Bowden

Alan Bowden, Senior Associate, manages executive search assignments in the engineering, manufacturing and education sectors.

With widespread national and international sector knowledge and a vast array of industry contacts, Alan brings a high degree of thoroughness and creative thought to the recruiting process. Based in Sydney, Alan has managed search and consulting assignments for General Managers, senior executives, and Professorial and Heads of School roles.

Throughout his professional career, Alan developed extensive management experience in industry (food and chemicals) working for both Unilever and Dow Corning in various international offices where he held positions such as site manager, commercialisation manager and business development manager. Alan has also established his own consulting business which has provided marketing and strategic analysis advice to clients in the biotechnology and life science industries. Alan has developed a number of business and marketing plans, market opportunity analyses and technical evaluations for Australian companies and university commercialisation offices.

Alan holds an honours degree in Microbiology from Cardiff University, a Diploma in Chemical Engineering and a Masters degree in Biochemical Engineering from University College, London. Alan also has a postgraduate diploma in Marketing Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
