The University has recently established the Planning and Institutional Performance Unit within the Vice-Chancellor’s Office to provide accessible, comprehensive, sophisticated and reliable data and analysis to support high-level decision making and underpin strategic and operational planning.
The Director, Planning and Institutional Performance Unit will provide leadership in planning and institutional performance across the University. S/he will be responsible for the implementation and on-going refinement of the University’s strategic and operational planning framework; the development of systems to gather and manage data; and the analysis of data to support the University’s planning, accountability and performance improvement. The position reports to the Executive Director of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office and works closely with University’s senior management.
The successful candidate will have extensive and high-level experience in strategic and operational planning and review, information management, data analysis and reporting and load planning, preferably within an Australian higher education context, together with experience in driving quality improvements and an understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence systems. A critical attribute will be the capacity to maintain independence in the provision of data and analysis.
