The Executive Director - Health & Safety reports to the Chief Executive and leads the delivery of workplace safety regulation, focusing on reducing injuries and fatalities in Victorian workplaces.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this position holds a critical Business Unit leadership responsibility for the delivery of occupational health and safety services through approximately 350 employees who conduct over 40,000 worksite visits per year. You will be an established and authoritative senior leader with broad, general management skills and excellent influencing and engagement capability. You will be a strategic and innovative manager able to encourage and foster an open culture and inspire a high-performing team. You will have the confidence, communication skills and ability to operate with high visibility.

You will have an open and collaborative style and work to find synergies with internal and external stakeholders including the Board, other internal teams, industry bodies, unions, state government, external safety agencies, thought leadership groups and the broader community.

Experience in the delivery of public/social policy programs is preferred, along with appropriate tertiary qualifications.
