Founded in 1858, Melbourne Grammar School prides itself on encouraging excellence through learning and leadership. The School comprises three sub-schools in Caulfield and South Yarra. Over 1,800 students are educated at the School each year, with over 330 employees, of whom 190 are teaching staff. The high staff-to-student ratio provides students with a richly rewarding, holistic educational experience.
With the retirement of the Bursar, Mr David Temple at the end of this year, after 31 years of superb service, Melbourne Grammar is seeking to appoint an outstanding leader to the newly defined role of Director of Finance and Administration. Managing over 140 non teaching staff and reporting to the Headmaster, the Director is Secretary to the School Council, plus a key member of both the School Executive and the Foundation Board.
As a highly experienced strategic administrator and finance leader, you will have excellent management experience plus an understanding of fiscal and organisational complexities inherent in capital development. Your collaborative approach will align with the School's values. Fostering the ongoing professional development of staff and providing support to students and parents is a key focus.
A CPA or ICAA accreditation qualification would be ideal, as would previously held senior CFO, COO or GM positions. Relevant tertiary and post-graduate qualifications are required.
