Established and funded by the Commonwealth Government of Australia in 2006, headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing mental and health wellbeing support, information and services to young people and their families across Australia.
Steered by a vibrant and highly energised Executive Team, headspace is breaking new ground in the delivery of mental health counselling. With 30 one-stop-shops, headspace employs a range of youth-friendly health professionals offering help to young people aged 12 to 25.
As one of five senior executives reporting to the CEO, and with three direct reports, the HOCL is a newly created role to provide high level in-house clinical expertise/advice to support and resource the CEO and Board. The ideal candidate will be highly-respected, well networked, and possess an established academic profile and credibility amongst key stakeholders. S/he will be required to fill the role of media spokesperson on clinical matters where appropriate. Post graduate qualifications in mental health are required.
