Established and funded by the Commonwealth Government of Australia in 2006, headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing mental and health wellbeing support, information and services to young people and their families across Australia.
Steered by a vibrant and highly energised Executive Team, headspace is breaking new ground in the delivery of mental health counselling. With 30 one-stop-shops, headspace employs a range of youth-friendly health professionals offering help to young people aged 12 to 25.
Reporting to the CEO, the HOCS will provide advice on centre development strategy and oversee and support all headspace centres. S/he will play a critical role in working with the Project Director Centre Expansion to oversee then manage an increase to the centre network across Australia. To be successful in this role, the HOCS will possess excellent prioritisation, operational and project management skills. S/he will be an action-oriented, politically savvy negotiator, capable of developing and maintaining close relationships with key stakeholders. Qualifications and credibility in mental health are highly desired.
