Edith Cowan University (ECU) seeks an outstanding research leader to work with its senior leadership team to drive research growth and build the ECU research brand.

ECU is a large multi-campus university serving communities in Western Australia and beyond through teaching and research, inspired by Engagement and partnerships. Innovative and practical courses across a wide range of disciplines are a feature of the University, together with an emerging excellence in high impact research.

The Office of Research and Innovation provides strategic and operational support to the University's research program, in alignment with the University's goals and strategic priorities. Supporting the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Advancement), this position leads the Office in developing and promoting ECU's research program. The Director will contribute significantly to the establishment of services, operations, and importantly a culture, that will enable growth and improvements in research capability, capacity, engagement and outcomes.

ECU is seeking a champion for research with a solid understanding of the higher education research environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who is results-focused and values-driven with an outstanding record in this area. The appointee will be a collaborative leader and effective manager who can develop the people, processes and relationships that will grow ECU's research profile and outcomes, for the benefit of the communities it was established to serve.
