Maria Kharsas is a qualified counsellor and executive recruiter who brings a holistic and personal approach to executive search and candidate consultation. Maria’s knowledge of the issues facing individuals undergoing career transition and the strategic challenges confronting companies experiencing organisational change, complements her thorough approach to every search and selection assignment.

Her diverse career and extensive experience in executive research, candidate assessment, and background in psychology and counselling, ensure that the range of search candidates are fully qualified before shortlisting for clients’ consideration. Maria’s clients include Academic institutions, and Government and Community organisations.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Psychology and Business Administration, as well as a Diploma in Holistic Counselling Practice and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment. She has been in senior executive search advisory roles for over twelve years and began her search career as a researcher with an international executive search firm in 1988.

At JFE, Maria has led the search process for General Management and Senior Executive level in major corporate and government organisations, along with Professorial and Head of School roles in education.

Maria also provides counselling, life coaching and career consulting services to individuals undergoing ‘life transition’.
